What is Anxiety?

Anxiety is a normal human response to stress - it can be linked to:

Life changing events such as relationship break-ups, a new school, bereavement, exams, starting Uni or moving house. 

● Thought patterns and beliefs such as over-thinking, perfectionism or negative self-talk, such as: “I’m not good enough, Nobody likes me.” 

● Biological and lifestyle factors such as medical conditions, medication, lack of sleep, excess caffeine, sugar or alcohol, hormonal changes and family history.

When anxiety starts to weigh heavy, we feel overwhelmed and unable to cope. We feel stuck in a negative cycle which prevents us from getting the most out of life. Because we're in a fog, we struggle to see a clear way out.
